IL & FS Engineering and construction company has successfully bagged a Rs 326.99 crore rail contract. It was awarded by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation. According to the contract, the scope of work is construction of elevated structures (viaduct) of about 3.9 km length from Mysore road station to Pattanagere station, including four elevated metro stations in the west extension of the East-West Corridor of Bangalore metro rail project, Phase-II. The project needs to be completed in 27 months from the date of issue of letter of acceptance. IL& FS Engineering and Construction Company is executing two more contracts for metro rail projects. The two contracts include a Rs 255.84 crore project for RMRG (Phase-II), involving construction of a double-deck elevated viaduct; and another Rs 84 crore contract for Gurgaon (south extension) involving construction of elevated stations.
