Tomislav Sajko Int. Transporti from the Croatian capital, Zagreb, relies on the SCHEUERLE Ultralight Combi for its heavy transport operations. On the often poorly maintained and narrow roads of the Balkan countries, the Ultralight Combi scores heavily – a width of only 2.55m with an unrivaled dead weight is particularly advantageous in these conditions. Sajko relies on a combination consisting of a goose neck, one 2-axle module and two 3-axle modules, which means a 3 + 5 combination can be assembled. In the near future, the combination will be complemented by a 250mm high slab deck.
Following the idea of ”ultra-lightweight design”, particular attention was paid during the construction of the vehicle to minimizing the dead weight in all modules – and this with the coupling capability and full compatibility with the successful modules of the SCHEUERLE InterCombi and Euro Combi series. This resulted in the Ultralight Combi series with its U0 (InterCombi compatible) and U1 (Euro Combi compatible) versions. With the U2 version, the lightweight construction potential was once again fully exploited and a vehicle was developed that can be used in combination with all the equipment of the SCHEUERLE InterCombi for transport assignments. Through a range of innovative design solutions along with the use of numerous proven components of InterCombi series, the Ultralight Combi is extremely robust and has been designed to provide a long service life in spite of the low weight. Easy and safe to handle, it conforms with all EC standards with its 2.55 m vehicle width thus facilitating the approval processes and driving operations in all EU member states.
