APR Energy, a fast-track power solutions provider, has authorized a 20MW expansion of its power plant in Myanmar.
The new expansion will supply Myanmar Electric Power Enterprise (MEPE) with a guaranteed minimum of 102MW of power generation. The expanded power plant, that provides electricity to over six million people, will feature the new generation CAT low-emission mobile gas power modules and will run on Myanmar’s indigenous, clean burning natural gas.
APR Energy managing director Asia Pacific Clive Turton said: “The added capacity at our Myanmar plant follows our previously announced expansion in Indonesia earlier this year, and is the result of growing regional demand and the high level of service we provide.
“We look forward to playing a continued role in helping Myanmar supply reliable, efficient power to its people and industries, supporting economic growth and improving overall quality of life.”
